Rumor has been around that Esky is producing a flybarless chopper built on a similar platform to the Honey Bees. Esky fans will remember the Honey Bee King V3. Its successor is the newest and latest D550 6 channel flybarless helicopter. This belt driven helicopter is built on similar but refined composite frame allowing it to be slimmer and lighter weight. The motor mount is adjustable for different size pinion gears. The aluminum constructed head is stronger and more robust featuring an all new flybarless system. This flybarless system gives the chopper high agility in 3D maneuvers. It even provides slightly longer runtimes because of less rotational mass. It is easier to setup, given you have the correct flybarless system to accommodate this new head design. You’ll also notice that it has less linkages, 2 that go straight to the blade grips instead of the traditional 4-6. This translates into quicker setup times, and less time consuming and costly repairs in the event of a crash. The swashplate is a mix of composite and aluminum and the aluminum is all silver in color, which is a cool change for those of you guys that weren’t a fan of the Esky purple.  Included in the receiver ready package is a ready built helicopter with 7.5 gram Esky digital servo’s installed and its linkages adjusted to t matching lengths. A 25amp speed controller delivers power to the 4070kv motor. A 11.1v 1200mah Lithium Polymer battery is included. A charger capable of charging 2 cell and 3 cell batteries is also included however the power adapter included for the charger is DC only. A 1gb Esky SD memory card is included in the package with the Manual in it. The D550 is receiver ready. All you need is your radio, transmitter, and a solid flybarless system. The traditional gyro just won’t cut it for a chopper of this caliber.
